Travelling in Europe
If you are travelling to Europe the EU has published useful information for travellers on the European website.
Some services provided are not covered under our contract with the NHS and therefore attract charges. Examples include the following:
The fees charged are based on the British Medical Association (BMA) suggested scales and our reception staff will be happy to advise you about them along with appointment availability.
If you have just turned 70 or 78 years old then please contact the surgery as you are now eligible for the Shingles vaccination.
From September 1 2016, the shingles vaccine will be routinely available to people aged 70 and, as a catch up, to those aged 78.
In addition, anyone who was eligible for immunisation in the previous years of the programme but missed out on their shingles vaccination remains eligible until their 80th birthday.
The shingles vaccine is not available on the NHS to anyone aged 80 and over because it seems to be less effective in this age group.
Please contact the Surgery in August 2019, we should be able to let you know when we will be holding our clinics for the seasonal flu vac.
